Prepare and assist in the review of federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals in the real estate sector
Perform tax research and analysis on real estate transactions, including like-kind exchanges and partnership formations
Assist in the preparation of partnership-specific calculations (e.g., 704(b) capital accounts, basis adjustments)
Support due diligence and transaction structuring efforts for real estate investments
Analyze partnership agreements to help identify key tax provisions
Collaborate with managers and senior managers to meet client deadlines and expectations
Participate in training sessions and contribute to process improvements
Requirements
2–4 years of tax experience in public accounting or a related industry
Exposure to real estate tax and partnership taxation preferred
Strong research and writing skills
Basic understanding of Subchapter K
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
Solid academic record with a GPA of 3.5 or above preferred
