About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership, planning direction, and rigorous QA/QC oversight for water and wastewater design projects.
Ensure all project work adheres to federal, state, and local standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Manage subconsultants and coordinate deliverables
Mentor Engineers, Designers, and Technicians, strengthening their skills in design fundamentals, problem-solving, and project delivery.
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure successful and predictable outcomes.
Assign, coordinate, and support work across interdisciplinary teams to maintain project momentum and alignment.
Oversee the production of plans, specifications, reports, technical analyses, and cost estimates.
Monitor project progress and financial performance, proactively addressing risks and challenges.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, ensuring clear communication and high client satisfaction.
Engage in industry events, conferences, and professional organizations to build the firm’s presence and support strategic growth.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
10 years of experience in water/wastewater design and project engineering
3 years of related project management and/or team leadership experience and training
Familiarity with technical modeling or design software (HEC-RAS, Civil 3D, etc.)
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
