About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver and pick up parts and small equipment to customers, John Deere Depot, and other company locations as needed.
Safely and securely transport parts, small equipment, and related supplies to customers and our locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
Maintains a clean vehicle and performs work in an organized and orderly fashion.
Will be back up to other positions as deemed necessary by leadership.
Promote the sale of parts and service at all times.
Ensuring the truck and trailer are in good working condition before making any delivery.
Maintains paper records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts.
Accounts for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
Quality control checks equipment and parts during loading and unloading process.
Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Report all injuries, near misses, and accidents within the hour to your Manager, Supervisor, or Risk Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

1 – 6 years’ delivery experience (or equivalent).
Must have good computer skills and a clean driving record.
Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes.
Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
Ability to drive with a Class C drivers license and be covered under our insurance policy.
