About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide procurement implementation and control, raising Request for Quotations, Purchase Orders and Comparison Tables
  • Ensure selection of appropriate suppliers for projects in line with company policies
  • Source new vendors
  • Monitor current vendors on the Approved Vendor List
  • Obtain quotations for company designed and bought in products to meet customer specifications and specific industry standards
  • Work with clients and suppliers to determine procurement specifications
  • Agree terms and conditions with suppliers, clients and Bekaert
  • Procure Flintstone designed and bought in products to meet contractual requirements
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers
  • Set up purchasing agreements with key suppliers
  • Visit existing and potential suppliers and carry out vendor assessments and audits
  • Liaise with project teams on schedule issues and assist in finding solutions to late delivery and quality non-conformance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering Degree
  • CIPS Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar position
  • Basic understanding of machining, castings and forgings
  • Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMs and Project
  • Excellent interpersonal communication both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Well organised
