About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide procurement implementation and control, raising Request for Quotations, Purchase Orders and Comparison Tables
- Ensure selection of appropriate suppliers for projects in line with company policies
- Source new vendors
- Monitor current vendors on the Approved Vendor List
- Obtain quotations for company designed and bought in products to meet customer specifications and specific industry standards
- Work with clients and suppliers to determine procurement specifications
- Agree terms and conditions with suppliers, clients and Bekaert
- Procure Flintstone designed and bought in products to meet contractual requirements
- Identify and qualify new suppliers
- Set up purchasing agreements with key suppliers
- Visit existing and potential suppliers and carry out vendor assessments and audits
- Liaise with project teams on schedule issues and assist in finding solutions to late delivery and quality non-conformance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering Degree
- CIPS Qualification
- Minimum 5 years in a similar position
- Basic understanding of machining, castings and forgings
- Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMs and Project
- Excellent interpersonal communication both oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Well organised
