About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the legal team in analyzing cases involving contract law, intellectual property, consumer law and privacy protection, and conduct the related legal research
  • Draft and review legal documents, including non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, vendor contracts, demand letters, consent forms and correspondence
  • Support the management and protection of the trademark and copyright portfolio, including prior-use searches and preparing evidence of trademark use
  • Support operational and corporate teams on special projects and perform related tasks
  • Implement and improve legal tools, including CLM and clause library, as well as internal documentation
  • Report to the Legal Counsel and receive guidance to achieve the autonomy required for legal practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
  • Have passed the Bar of Quebec exam
  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and oral
  • Strong ability to draft legal texts and documents
  • Strong critical analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize, demonstrate rigor and maintain confidentiality
  • Be able to work 37.5 hours per week for 6 months
  • Be eligible to work full-time in Canada in Montreal at the time of application
  • Submit a resume and cover letter
  • Knowledge of the video game industry is an asset
