About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Model and texture realistic science-fiction characters
- Create clean, optimized topology for rigging complex joints
- Set up and groom hair in Unreal Engine 5
- Collaborate with animation teams to ensure realistic character motion
- Work with concept artists to translate ideas into 3D assets
- Contribute to pipeline improvements and mentor junior artists
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 6 years of character creation experience in the games industry
- A portfolio demonstrating realistic characters integrating hard-surface elements is required
- Proven experience creating hair in Unreal Engine 5
- Expertise in Blender or Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and hard-surface modeling techniques
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with animation and technical animation teams on rig-friendly builds
- Experience with MetaHuman is a plus
- Experience modeling and texturing weapons, or a background in FPS production, is an advantage
