About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and implement realistic VFX for weapons, gunfire, and explosions in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Create environmental visual effects suited to urban combat settings.
  • Develop clear, readable, telegraphing effects for gameplay legibility in a competitive context.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Animation and Character teams to ensure visual consistency.
  • Optimize effects for performance while maintaining a high level of visual fidelity.
  • Help establish VFX standards for worlds blending combat realism, vehicles, and sci-fi visuals.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 6 years of experience as a VFX artist in the video game industry.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating effects for weapons, explosions, and urban combat environments.
  • Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5 is required.
  • Experience on realistic FPS games is a significant asset.
  • Knowledge of Houdini is a plus.
