About the role
- Contribute to the development of levels while collaborating closely with other designers and learning from cross-disciplinary teams.
- Assist with content and gameplay integration, helping ensure levels work smoothly and align with the overall design vision.
- Support the team across all stages of level design and production, including scripting, integration, polish, and debugging.
- Actively participate in design discussions, contributing ideas that support environmental storytelling, gameplay, and engaging player experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Unreal Engine 5, with a solid understanding of relevant scripting tools.
- Strong grasp of level design principles, including encounters, flow, rhythm, scale, tension, pacing, variety, navigation, and blocking.
- Proactive and resourceful problem solver, comfortable tackling complex technical and gameplay challenges through thoughtful level and environment design.
- Ability to clearly articulate hands-on gameplay experiences, effectively communicating design intent and providing constructive feedback to help craft memorable player moments.
- Familiarity with narrative design principles is considered an asset.
- Experience working with Perforce version control is an asset.
