About the role
- Develop and optimize data pipelines
- Build and maintain analytical, high-performance, and well-documented data models in BigQuery.
- Implement and manage monitoring and testing frameworks to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Lead the definition and implementation of data governance policies, including the organization and cataloging of data assets.
- Serve as a technical reference, promoting best practices in data engineering and data modeling across the team.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure data is accessible and documented.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer in a high-volume data environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools, especially Airflow.
- Expertise with cloud data environments, with proven experience in Google BigQuery.
- Familiarity with and use of GitHub.
- Experience with modeling tools such as dbt (data build tool) is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of BI platforms such as Looker (including LookML) or Power BI is a plus.
