About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the Tax team ensuring high-quality, compliant, and client-focused insolvency tax services
- Maintain a hands-on role in tax operations including managing files and supporting client deliverables
- Coordinate and distribute workload across teams ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Provide guidance in resolving complex client and creditor concerns
- Communicate performance expectations and operational objectives to team members
- Monitor productivity and performance to achieve quality standards
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans
- Coach and support team members in their professional growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching staff
- Strong knowledge of insolvency legislation, rules, procedures, and industry best practices
- 5 or more years of tax preparation experience including self employed tax returns
- Knowledge of bankruptcy specific tax returns is an asset
- Working knowledge of iFirm is an asset
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to accommodate varying work schedules
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and exceptional client service
- Proficiency in English is essential for this role
