About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents as directed
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Coordinate with clients, experts, and medical providers to gather information and assist in developing case strategies
  • Support and collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants assigned to litigation matters
  • Maintain regular communication with clients on behalf of the senior attorney to keep them informed and supported
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and pre-trial preparations under the senior attorney’s guidance
  • Maintain case files and documentation in compliance with legal and firm standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active California Bar license
  • 1+ years of litigation experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills
  • Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion work
  • Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Client-centered approach with strong interpersonal communication
