About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare comprehensive, high-quality credit applications that showcase financial sponsor, its strategy, annual update, as well as a list of all exposures that BBVA maintains with this sponsor across portfolios and geographies
- Present credit applications for approval to both the New York and Madrid Credit Committees
- Maintain accurate credit files and documentation folders to ensure readiness for internal audits and credit quality control reviews
- Maintain trackers of sponsor and related fund exposures
- Knowledge of traded products and related documentation, including ISDA, CSA, CDEA, and GMRA agreements
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and coordinate spreadsheets and financial data
- Possess strong communication and presentation skills, capable of handling high-stress environments and meeting occasional crunch-time deadlines effectively
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
- Five to fifteen (10-15) years of relevant experience in Finance, Credit Risk Management, Underwriting, or Loan Review
- In-depth knowledge and experience of financial sponsors and their activity
- Knowledge of the Fund Finance space, structured products, derivative products is a plus
- Ability to analyze financial statements
- Solid understanding of general credit risk principles, foundations, and methodologies
