About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the day-to-day operational activities of the BSI Operations team across U.S. Fixed Income products and settlement platforms.
- Perform pre-matching and validation of trades to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
- Monitor and follow up on settlement activity across U.S. markets and platforms, resolving issues proactively to minimize settlement risk.
- Manage urgent operational inquiries from clients, counterparties, and Front Office teams in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve settlement exceptions and reconciliation breaks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of operational records.
- Partner with liquidity and treasury teams to ensure the successful and accurate close of business each day.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and market rules.
- Participate in strategic transformation and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and product delivery capabilities.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of future operational models to support business growth and evolving market demands.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of experience in post-trade operations within the U.S. Fixed Income market
- Strong technical expertise in: FICC (Fixed Income Clearing Corporation) processing and clearing
- Tri-Party Repo operations with BNY Mellon
- Corporate bond settlement and operations through DTC
- Solid understanding of settlement workflows, repo operations, and tri-party functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to continuously evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over daily responsibilities and deliverables.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and counterparties.
- FINRA Series 99 license required
