Senior HR Business Partner
BBVASenior HR Business Partner providing expert guidance on all aspects of people strategy for BBVA in Italy. Collaborating with local leadership and global HR teams to implement solutions aligned with business priorities.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a trusted HR partner across teams in Italy, contributing to strategic planning and execution of HR initiatives across all business lines.
- Implement and manage core people processes including onboarding, performance management, compensation, talent development, and employee relations.
- Support organizational development initiatives including succession planning, change management, workforce planning, and culture transformation aligned with BBVA values and the CIB Spirit.
- Collaborate with regional HR Business Partners and HR teams across Europe and the UK on regional and global HR projects, harmonization initiatives, and coordination with Centres of Excellence in Madrid.
- Provide oversight and support on payroll and benefits administration in Italy, coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with Italian labor law, employment regulations, collective agreements where applicable, and BBVA Group policies.
- Lead initiatives related to employee engagement, diversity, equity & inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Oversee HR operations and people data management in line with BBVA Group privacy, confidentiality, and governance standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or strategic HR Business Partner role.
- Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a matrixed, multinational environment; financial services experience is preferred.
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written); Spanish is considered an advantage but is not required.
