Lead development of data infrastructure, pipelines, and tools to enable research and real-time production applications for clinical AI/ML modules.
Build robust infrastructure for storing large volumes of data and supporting complex queries for production, research, and analytics.
Design, implement, and deploy reliable data pipelines and services integrating with EHR systems using FHIR and HL7.
Ensure secure transfer and storage of sensitive data (PII/PHI) in compliance with HITRUST and SOC2.
Collaborate closely with Product, Clinical, and Data Science teams to align and deliver impactful technology that saves lives.
Requirements
BS in Computer Science or other relevant technical discipline.
5+ years of experience building and maintaining highly scalable, reliable production data systems on a cloud platform (preferably AWS).
Deep knowledge of modern data platform technologies: cloud-based data storages and warehouses, real-time streaming and batch processing, transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt), workflow orchestration tools, and integration with existing infrastructure.
Proficient in Python.
Experience working with sensitive data containing PHI/PII.
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data science).
Preferred: experience leveraging LLMs in distributed data systems.
Preferred: experience with health data, EHR integration, and health IT interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
Preferred: experience handling ambiguity in a startup environment.
