About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with planning, developing, coordinating and ensuring the successful completion of projects
Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, templates, and department-wide standard operating procedures
Produce and edit drawings, exhibits, site plans, plan & sections, plan & profiles and various civil details from direction by the design engineer
Build teams, and assign staff to projects based on knowledge, skills and availability
Review project drawings and provide assistance as needed to improve quality, efficiency, and competence of work being performed
Monitor department performance and evaluate staff regularly
Recognize staffing needs, assist with hiring
Plan department efforts, workload and budget
Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D computer program
6+ years of experience in producing civil engineering drawings for public water, wastewater, storm water and roadway infrastructure systems
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
Autodesk Revit and/or MEP experience is a plus
Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills
Periodic travel will be required between regional offices (own transportation)
