About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Go Live Readiness Lead for the Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management upgrade
- Deploy templates and standards
- Co-develop team plans, timelines, organizational structure, and effort estimates
- Manage deliverable schedules and assign work items to team members and subject matter experts
- Oversee external consulting team members
- Review configuration and documentation revisions
- Validate development, security, and batch functional specifications
- Define test requirements, gather test examples and data, and develop test scripts
- Perform testing, research issues, and resolve testing problems
- Create or revise business processes and user procedures, and provide training material inputs
- Confirm deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budgetary requirements
- Liaise with project team members to facilitate issue resolution and deliverable completion
- Escalate issues affecting delivery and quality beyond the role’s scope of influence
- Provide accurate, detailed weekly task reports to Project Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- More than 5 years of Workday Financial and Supply Chain Management implementation or upgrade experience as a functional team member
- Extensive experience developing functional project plans, documenting business processes and application configuration revisions, writing functional specifications, creating and executing test scripts, resolving testing issues, documenting user procedures, and preparing for and executing go-live activities
- Experience with Workday Financial and Supply Chain Management upgrade or implementation activities for higher education, public sector, or healthcare clients
- Expertise with customized Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management, enterprise performance management (EPM) functionality, and custom or third-party system integrations
- Extensive experience leading teams of client, consulting firm, and/or independent Workday consultants
- Experience with upgrade or implementation projects in a multi-entity shared-services transaction-processing environment with employee populations greater than 50,000
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, MS Project, and SharePoint, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Workday Financial and Supply Chain Management transaction processing and EPM technologies
- Knowledge of the full Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from a go-live readiness perspective
- Ability to keep data confidential
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for creating leader, user, and project documentation and procedures
- Strong meeting facilitation, interviewing, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
- Extensive supervising, coaching, interpersonal, collaboration, and deliverable oversight skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced organization
