Key responsibilities & impact

Support the configuration, testing, and sustainment of the SAP – PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) integration, executing functional design specifications and integration tasks under the direction of the PLM Integration Lead
Participate in requirements-gathering workshops and solution design sessions, documenting business process requirements, data mapping details, and integration configuration decisions across the SAP – Windchill boundary
Configure and validate SAP-side integration components including Engineering Change Management (ECM), Classification (CA), Document Management System (DMS), and Material Master data in support of PLM data exchange
Support the design and validation of bidirectional data flows between SAP and Windchill including eBOM/mBOM synchronization, part master alignment, document transfers, and engineering change order processing
Execute unit testing, string testing, and end-to-end integration scenario testing across the SAP – Windchill interface, documenting results and escalating defects to the Integration Lead for resolution
Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, Windchill administrators, and technical integration teams to support interface configuration, data mapping validation, and middleware troubleshooting
Assist in identifying and resolving functional integration gaps, data quality issues, and process misalignments between SAP and Windchill during design, testing, and production operations
Develop and maintain configuration workbooks, test scripts, defect logs, and end-user training materials in support of the PLM integration workstream
Support cutover planning and execution activities including data validation, interface smoke testing, and post-go-live stabilization tasks
Ensure all assigned integration deliverables remain compliant with federal defense engineering standards, configuration management requirements, and security protocols applicable to the classified operating environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in SAP configuration and implementation with demonstrated participation in SAP – PLM integration efforts
Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience working with PTC Windchill PLM in a configuration, integration support, or functional consultant capacity
Demonstrated proficiency in SAP – Windchill PLM integration activities including eBOM/mBOM data exchange, engineering change order support, document master data configuration, and part master alignment
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Functional knowledge of SAP Engineering Change Management (ECM), Classification (CA), Document Management System (DMS), and Material Master data as they relate to PLM integration
Hands-on experience supporting SAP – Windchill PLM integration activities including eBOM/mBOM synchronization, part and document master data exchange, and engineering change order workflows
Working knowledge of PTC Windchill PLM including product structure management, change and configuration management, document vaulting, and part master data administration
Experience executing SAP configuration tasks, functional testing, and defect documentation within a structured PLM integration program
Ability to document business process requirements, data mapping specifications, and integration test results with accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with federal defense engineering and configuration management standards including MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, and EIA-649 as they relate to PLM data governance
Proficiency in developing configuration workbooks, test scripts, and end-user training materials in support of PLM integration deliverables
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional, technical, and engineering stakeholder groups
Experience working within federal, defense, or classified environments with adherence to strict cybersecurity, configuration management, and operational security protocols.
