About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform electro-mechanical work in a computer-based environment, assisting and troubleshooting with engineers
- Work as a team to test, install, start-up and demonstrate BW Converting equipment
- Train customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment
- Plan and perform duties to install, demonstrate and instruct customer’s employees
- Work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications
- Set up and operate machinery to produce customer’s product
- Perform routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical/electrical service on company equipment
- Act as liaison between customer and company; maintain positive relationships with customers
- Create and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset
Requirements
What you’ll need- An Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is required
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred
- 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment
- A strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set is required to complete a variety of work in this position
- Knowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience, with focus in the Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens or Flexographic presses is a plus
- Knowledge of Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
