About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform electro-mechanical work in a computer-based environment, assisting and troubleshooting with engineers
  • Work as a team to test, install, start-up and demonstrate BW Converting equipment
  • Train customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Plan and perform duties to install, demonstrate and instruct customer’s employees
  • Work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications
  • Set up and operate machinery to produce customer’s product
  • Perform routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical/electrical service on company equipment
  • Act as liaison between customer and company; maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Create and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is required
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred
  • 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment
  • A strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set is required to complete a variety of work in this position
  • Knowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience, with focus in the Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens or Flexographic presses is a plus
  • Knowledge of Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
