About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform electro-mechanical work in a computer-based environment, assisting and troubleshooting with engineers
Work as a team to test, install, start-up and demonstrate BW Converting equipment
Train customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment
Plan and perform duties to install, demonstrate and instruct customer’s employees
Work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications
Set up and operate machinery to produce customer’s product
Perform routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical/electrical service on company equipment
Act as liaison between customer and company; maintain positive relationships with customers
Create and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset

Requirements

What you’ll need

An Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is required
B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred
18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment
A strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set is required to complete a variety of work in this position
Knowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience, with focus in the Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens or Flexographic presses is a plus
Knowledge of Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
