About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients
  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of project execution including line layout engineering, mechanical design, vendor/contractor management, estimation, justification, equipment procurement, schedule management, project finances, budgeting, site management, integration, implementation, acquisition, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting
  • Develop equipment design and specifications, design equipment support systems, and handle bid analyses
  • Lead communications with vendors (OEMs) and contractors to implement innovative automation solutions
  • Evaluate existing packaging operations and drive projects to provide immediate ROI and improve productivity
  • Convert information into project documentation and manage integration of packaging automation lines
  • Lead project teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor of science in mechanical or chemical engineering, or a related technical degree
  • Strong analytical skills and a basic understanding of project management fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
  • Co-op or project experience with packaging lines, automation, or manufacturing applications (preferred)
  • Co-op or project experience in the food, dairy, high speed beverage/brewery, pharmaceutical, or consumer products environments (preferred)
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements
