Project Engineer
Barry-WehmillerProject Engineer overseeing automation and integration projects for BW Packaging. Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure project alignment and accuracy in execution.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports the execution of automation and integration projects by owning the post-sale system layout and coordinating supplier interface information and engineering documentation following solution validation.
- Participates in customer site surveys and measure-ups with A&I site management and maintains technical alignment across suppliers, internal teams, and customer requirements throughout the project.
- Works in close partnership with A&I Project Management, Site Management, Controls Integration, Procurement, and external suppliers to ensure layouts, interfaces, and installation packages remain accurate, aligned, and ready to support execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Experience supporting automation, integration, or capital equipment projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret system layouts, mechanical drawings, and electrical documentation.
- Experience coordinating supplier-provided technical information and documentation across multiple interfaces.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in complex, multi-supplier environments.
- Clear communicator able to work across engineering, project management, procurement, and site teams.
- Flexibility to take on evolving responsibilities in response to strategic priorities and business needs.
