About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on equipment at customer sites, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the installation, startup, and testing of new equipment, providing guidance to customer personnel on proper operation and maintenance practices.
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and diplomacy.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A two-year post-high school diploma/certificate in electro-mechanical technology and a minimum of 3 years related experience, OR a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, with a solid understanding of material handling practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as engineering documents, operation and maintenance instructions, bills of materials and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of leaders, clients, and customers.
- Strong time management skills to balance multiple projects with the potential of phone calls and simultaneous inquiries.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced knowledge of VFD functions, operations, and programming.
- HMI programming knowledge of Allen Bradley desired
- Motion control experience with Allen Bradley and Control Techniques/SyPT desired
- Proficiency in interpreting and troubleshooting pneumatic and electrical schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot wiring and complete I/O checks.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Robotics experience is advantageous.
