About the role

  • Perform engineering duties for BWP in the design or alteration of machines, sections, systems, units, or parts with consideration of manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operation
  • Design/alteration of moderately complex machines, sections, systems or units
  • Prepare layouts using CAD tools
  • Evaluation of moderately complex designs; make engineering changes
  • Prepare BOM, assembly drawings/schematics using CAD for moderately complex equipment
  • Assist in supporting manufacturing/assembly teams
  • Maintain project file
  • Support field teams with technical assistance as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Typically has 2-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus
  • Knowledge of prediction of physical principles, laws, interrelationships, and applications
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, raw materials, quality control, and cost analysis
  • Knowledge of CAD software
