About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct administrative proceedings for trademarks, patents, industrial designs and other intellectual property assets before the INPI (Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property).
  • Draft and review administrative petitions/filings, contracts, notices, counter-notices and other legal instruments related to the area.
  • Perform clearance/viability searches, conflict analysis and monitor office actions and communications, proposing strategies to protect and defend clients' assets.
  • Provide advisory services to clients, delivering technical guidance and supporting low- to medium-complexity negotiations.
  • Prepare technical-commercial proposals, reports and legal opinions, ensuring clear communication and case follow-up.
  • Manage registrations, procedural tracking and other records in internal systems, ensuring organization and traceability of information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, service providers and partners to ensure quality delivery of services within deadlines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Intellectual Property Group’s processes by participating in projects, trainings and technical development initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Law degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as an attorney in intellectual property matters.
  • Advanced English is desirable.
  • Specific knowledge: Apol or a similar tool.
  • Experience with a timesheet tool.
  • Word / Excel – Intermediate.
  • Microsoft – Teams / Outlook / Lists.
  • Legal drafting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks.
  • Experience using INPI tools/systems.
