About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interact with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement
- Handle insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations for BPC, BPE, Baptist Specialty Offices, and Imaging
- Complete approximately 30–50 authorizations per day
- Accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carriers
- Register patients in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
- Provide referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies
- Schedule appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma (or higher) required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to accurately complete insurance benefits verification and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carriers
- Ability to register patients in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
- Ability to complete approximately 30–50 authorizations per day
- Full-time days availability
- Monday through Thursday, 8:45 am–6:15 pm; Friday, 8:30 am–12:30 pm
