About the role

  • Manage the hospital and ensure the highest quality of veterinary care.
  • Advocate for pets and their quality of life; build long-term bonding relationships with clients.
  • Partner with the Practice Manager to operate an effective veterinary medical team.
  • Oversee and train associates on professional client service; effectively resolve client issues.
  • Act as communications liaison and hold routine hospital team meetings.
  • Direct, lead, and mentor Associate Veterinarians to deliver outstanding medical care.
  • Establish development plans for Associate Veterinarians; maintain schedules according to client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all practice policies and local laws.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.
  • Two years clinical experience required.
  • 1-3 years coaching and developing associate doctors required.
  • Meets all required clinical competencies.
