About the role
- Manage the hospital and ensure the highest quality of veterinary care.
- Advocate for pets and their quality of life; build long-term bonding relationships with clients.
- Partner with the Practice Manager to operate an effective veterinary medical team.
- Oversee and train associates on professional client service; effectively resolve client issues.
- Act as communications liaison and hold routine hospital team meetings.
- Direct, lead, and mentor Associate Veterinarians to deliver outstanding medical care.
- Establish development plans for Associate Veterinarians; maintain schedules according to client needs.
- Ensure compliance with all practice policies and local laws.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.
- Two years clinical experience required.
- 1-3 years coaching and developing associate doctors required.
- Meets all required clinical competencies.
