About the role
- Lead, develop, and manage associate veterinarians in their hospitals.
- Ensure Banfield can attract, develop, engage and retain doctors.
- Drive the culture and delivery of quality care by the veterinary provider team.
- Partner with the Practice Manager to drive the culture in their assigned hospitals.
- Oversee coaching programs for newly hired veterinarians to ensure an engaging experience.
- Partner with the Director of Veterinary Quality and Talent Acquisition team to recruit veterinary talent.
- Deliver an excellent hospital experience to student externs and veterinary candidates during hospital observations.
- Ensure compliance to Banfield's clinical essentials, government regulations, and veterinary industry standards.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
- 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
