About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Managing a portfolio of business and private clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for your clients, building long-term trusted relationships.
  • Supporting colleagues across the Business Services team with technical tax queries.
  • Assisting Managers and Senior Managers on advisory assignments.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional value to clients through proactive advice.
  • Planning and managing workloads to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Delegating work to junior team members while providing coaching, feedback and technical support.
  • Reviewing work to ensure accuracy and quality before submission.
  • Supporting the development of trainees and junior colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Attending client meetings and working alongside Partners on key accounts.
  • Promoting collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CTA qualification (or equivalent)
  • A strong background within an accountancy practice
  • Experience managing personal tax compliance work, with exposure to companies and partnerships
  • Previous experience working directly with clients
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
  • The confidence to solve problems, challenge constructively and think commercially
  • Experience reviewing or supporting the work of junior team members
  • A collaborative approach and genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service
