About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager for senior executives within client organizations
  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects and engagements independently
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Direct project staffing based on client needs, team development, and skill requirements
  • Oversee outsourced accounting services including P2P, O2C, and R2R
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and timely month-end closes
  • Lead strategic client communications and presentations to management teams and key stakeholders
  • Manage difficult conversations to achieve the best client solution
  • Support business development activities, manage personal and/or team-based sales pipelines, and forecast sales
  • Engage clients in business-based conversations and proactively shape sales efforts
  • Lead and support winning proposals, customizing approaches, solutions, staffing, and pricing
  • Nurture professional networks to generate opportunities and promote internal referrals
  • Manage sales, labor, utilization, and expense drivers in a professional services environment
  • Ensure project quality standards and facilitate lessons learned discussions
  • Manage WIP and AR financials

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and create a learning environment and talent strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related professional accounting or consulting experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory and team leadership experience highly preferred
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role, particularly in finance BPO or consulting
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA, MBA, or an equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of current accounting standards (GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or NetSuite is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability in project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Excellent leadership, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in driving sales, managing client relationships, and leading large-scale transformation projects
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed and work outside of normal business hours
