About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership, communication, project management, and team-building skills to teams solving business problems or improving finance and accounting processes
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to review work product and participate in client meetings and planning efforts
  • Work with Financial Advisory Partners and others, as well as independently, to identify and pursue business development initiatives
  • Win engagement opportunities through scoping and budgeting engagement needs
  • Lead efforts to achieve client satisfaction through engagement oversight and interaction with client executives and engagement sponsors
  • Anticipate client needs, questions, and issues
  • Schedule internal and external deadlines to meet client delivery expectations
  • Interact at the highest levels of client organizations
  • Gain exposure to client activities and identify opportunities for applying firm services
  • Build client interest in services across disciplines and establish client use of a wide range of firm services
  • Set and achieve profitability, billing, and collection objectives while properly utilizing staff and managing engagement risk
  • Handle complex and demanding clients
  • Deliver quality services in routine and complex situations requiring innovation
  • Understand firm strategy, practice areas, and service offerings; participate in proposals and presentations leading to new engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Eight (8+) years' experience in a large accounting firm in audit, financial advisory or transaction service lines
  • Five (5)+ years’ of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related
  • Certified public accountant (CPA)
  • High motivation, initiative and positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities appropriately
  • Intermediate modeling and Excel skills
  • Experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis
  • Ability to generate data-driven insights
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience presenting analyses to management
  • Ability to lead and drive initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively and thrive in a team environment with all levels of client personnel in various industries
  • Ability to comfortably interact with senior-level client personnel, including supporting executive briefings, board meetings, and investor presentations
