About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing property, portfolio, and entity-level financial and operational data to support valuation engagements.
  • Gather and validate information from client documents, third-party reports, market databases, and public sources.
  • Conduct market, industry, and economic research using internal and external data sources to support valuation analyses.
  • Prepare valuation workpapers, supporting schedules, audit documentation, and engagement files using firm templates and established methodologies.
  • Support the development of Excel-based financial models and assist in preparing Argus Enterprise models under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist in performing valuation analyses using standard valuation approaches, including discounted cash flow, direct capitalization, sales comparison, and cost approaches.
  • Provide support for purchase price allocation (ASC 805) and fair value (ASC 820) engagements by gathering data, preparing analyses, and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing third-party appraisal reports and preparing summary analyses for internal review.
  • Prepare draft valuation reports, client deliverables, and presentation materials under supervision.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge of real estate valuation concepts, accounting standards, and industry practices through training and on-the-job learning.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • Coursework in real estate and/or valuation a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills required
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required, along with preferred strong writing abilities and availability to travel for client-related work.
