About the role
- Gain hands-on experience in municipal finance, including client interaction
- Assist with client engagements involving capital improvement and economic development projects
- Develop cash flows, prepare financial reports, calculate tax projections, conduct research
- Assist with analysis of information and compliance reports related to bond issues
- Participate in intern orientation and training and development program
- Receive on-the-job training through real work engagements and mentorship
- Build relationships with clients, teammates and leadership and demonstrate performance for potential full-time hire
Requirements
- Enrolled as a student during the current school year in a Finance, Public Policy, Accounting, or other related business major
- Available to travel as needed for client projects
- There is currently no immigration sponsorship available for this position
- Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
- Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization desired
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
- Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
- Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
