About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide employment tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters.
Investigate, analyze, and problem solve various federal and state employment tax controversy issues.
Educate and advise clients on taxation rules and best employment tax practice procedures.
Examine and advise on processes for Forms 940, 941, W-2, 1099, etc.
Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested.
Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enrolled Agent (EA) certification with employment tax background
Must have, or obtain, a PTIN
2-3 or more years of experience in a professional services firm providing employment tax work
Previous experience in tax advocacy/controversy a plus
Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
Developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required
Ability to provide exceptional client service, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
The ability to work effectively in a team environment and comfortably interact with both internal and external clients
Excellent data analysis and technical skills
Strong project management and facilitation skills
