About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters
- Representing clients for IRS notice responses, penalty abatement requests, and other IRS negotiations
- Advocate on clients' behalf before IRS collections and all 50 state tax agencies
- Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for consideration
- Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally
- Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-6 or more years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance services or equivalent government agency
- EA Required (CPA or JD optional). Must have a PTIN.
- Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required
- Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills
- Strong project management and facilitation skills
