About the role
- Lead a critical programme that supports the UK’s submarine capability
- Build and develop an integrated Project Delivery team that works together to ensure project success
- Lead and coach a multi-disciplined Project team to deliver against key milestones
- Managing stakeholder relationships, including the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA)
- Develop detailed project plans and monitoring progress
- Oversee budgets, resources and subcontractor performance
- Drive effective risk, change and issue management across the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Essential experience of the Care and Maintenance Project Manager
- Proven leadership and team coaching experience
- Strong track record in managing and delivering engineering projects
- Expertise in APM competencies: schedule, risk, change control, budgeting
- Experience working within a matrix organisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- APM Project Management Qualification (preferable)
- APM Project Risk Management Level 2 (preferable)
- Degree qualified (desirable)
- APM Chartered Professional (ChPP) or Risk Management Level 2 (desirable)
- Commercial qualification (desirable)
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
