About the role
- Accountable for the performance and outcomes of the Acquisitions Engineering Team
- Provide both technical leadership and operational management
- Ensure engineering contributions to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) acquisitions under Survey and Quote engagements are delivered to the highest standard
- Shape and oversee engineering deliverables, including authoring, reviewing, and approving technical documentation
- Manage day-to-day resourcing
- Support knowledge capture through accurate documentation
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Babcock, Defence, and suppliers
- Manage scope, budgets, and schedules to deliver on time, cost, and quality expectations
Requirements
- Hold an accredited (under the Washington Accord) bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Experience using applicable engineering toolsets
- Systems engineering experience
- Extensive experience in relatable technical/engineering roles
- Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
