About the role

  • Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of remote satellite ground terminals
  • Ensuring agreed levels of availability and operational readiness
  • Maintenance and Inspection of Small Remote Satellite land terminals
  • Conduct Electrical Safety Inspections and Testing I.A.W Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
  • Test and repair RF equipment and systems and perform software and baseband system testing and repairs
  • Undertake general equipment repairs across the site
  • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues within agreed SLAs to deliver on-site technical support and troubleshooting for customer-reported issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and test equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in computer software used for diagnostics and reporting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic pathway), or equivalent work experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role
