About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver comprehensive, specialized, evidence-based, patient-centered care to women across the lifespan within the Women’s Metabolic Health program
- Conduct age-appropriate, full-scope assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations
- Perform intake assessments for women at risk or with overweight, obesity, and/or symptomatic menopause
- Educate patients about obesity as a chronic, multifactorial condition and long-term health strategies
- Use motivational interviewing to support nutrition, activity, sleep, stress management, and sustainable lifestyle changes
- Order diagnostic tests and prescribe medications within scope of practice and care protocols
- Provide virtual and phone-based patient consultations
- Collaborate with clinical teammates, physicians, supervising physicians, and interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless, consistent, high-quality care
- Perform ongoing systematic assessment and data collection covering physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, cognitive, educational, family, and advocacy needs
- Review medical records for follow-up and ordering diagnostic studies under established protocols
- Apply safety, risk-management, confidentiality, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Respond to urgent or emergency situations according to established protocols and document appropriately
- Use EHR systems, clinical technology, and telehealth tools to document, track, and communicate care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP)
- Board certification in FNP, AGNP, or WHNP
- Current, unrestricted Indiana APRN Prescriptive Authority license and DEA
- Current enrollment/participation with Indiana Medical Insurance Payors
- MSCP Certification from the Menopause Society preferred, or ability to obtain within the stipulated timeframe
- 1+ years of Obesity Medicine experience required
- Experience managing GLP-1 medications
- Experience providing education and coaching on lifestyle changes
- Virtual practice experience highly preferred
- Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity from OMA or TOS/AAPA is a plus
- Resides in Pennsylvania
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States
- Must complete employment eligibility verification upon hire
- Must work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends
- Proficiency with clinical technology, EHR systems, and telehealth tools
