Intermediate Electrical Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform analysis to size electrical equipment that meets Client specifications, codes, and standards.
- Act as electrical lead on projects.
- Review engineering document and verify compliance of selected electrical equipment to client specifications and industry standards and codes.
- Collaborate with internal departments (fabrication, sales, etc.) and external stakeholders (vendors, owners, owners’ engineers, etc.) to achieve desired project outcomes.
- Help in the continual improvement of AWC’s Quality Management System’s practices, procedures, templates, and checklists by participating in design reviews, feedback sessions, and process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post Secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Holds active P.Eng. registration in the province of BC or Alberta.
- 5-10 years of work experience designing, sizing, and selecting process electrical equipment.
- Designing and developing electrical and control panels.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, exposure to Autodesk products is an asset.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles utilized in the design of electrical and controls systems is an asset.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
