About the role
- Oversee overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of AV systems integration projects.
- Ensure projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.
- Coordinate all activities associated with timely, accurate, and on-budget completion according to AVI-SPL processes.
- Learn and comply with AVI-SPL Operations Playbook and use approved tools.
- Be subject matter expert on contract documents for assigned projects.
- Facilitate internal and external Project Kickoff meetings.
- Identify and manage project risk; resolve issues or escalate.
- Create and manage comprehensive project schedules and resource scheduling.
- Facilitate project material/equipment orders.
- Manage project expenditures and communicate profitability issues.
- Provide and review status/progress reporting internally and externally.
- Manage and verify quality of work by internal/subcontracted resources.
- Raise awareness of potential claims/back charges or large costs to management.
- Handle scope, schedule, cost or terms changes per change order procedures.
- Gather and supply close-out documentation to Service teams.
- Maintain and develop strong customer relationships and respond to customer communications.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Audio Visual, Construction, Technology or related industry.
- Proven project management and team leadership experience.
- Demonstrated management of multiple projects using sound time management skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interaction skills.
- Creative problem solving and investigation skills to identify complex problems and generate solutions.
- Understanding of all revenue, budget, margin and financial variance factors of assigned projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in the Audio Visual, Construction, Technology or related industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical, contractual and construction documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MSProject schedule software
- Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.
- Comprehension of AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques. (Nice-to-Have)
- Formal education in Audio Visual, Construction, Technology or related field. (Nice-to-Have)
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. (Nice-to-Have)
