About the role

  • Develop, together with the team, Test Plans and Test Strategies based on the analysis of the deliverables planned for a software development project.
  • Analyze and validate business requirements, ensuring the proper application of testing principles and techniques.
  • Create and maintain test cases using the BDD (Behavior Driven Development) standard.
  • Execute manual test cases, ensuring the collection of adequate evidence to meet project needs.
  • Log and track the handling of defects and failures identified during testing activities.
  • Monitor quality control policies and procedures.
  • Identify, analyze, propose, and implement solutions for quality issues by performing root cause analysis and preventing recurrence.
  • Analyze opportunities for improvement, seeking to optimize quality processes and bringing the team’s focus to the quality of deliverables.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the performance of developed products against established quality standards.
  • Prepare reports covering key quality indicators, such as defects, test coverage, quality risks, etc.
  • Use test automation tools to optimize testing effort.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals (techniques and strategies);
  • Strong knowledge of different types and levels of testing;
  • Requirements analysis: Ability to interpret and validate software requirement specifications contained in a user story;
  • Proficiency in using BDD to create and update test cases, both functional and non-functional;
  • Proficiency in performing manual testing of REST/SOAP APIs using Postman;
  • Proficiency in performing manual testing on apps;
  • Experience performing manual database testing (SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB);
  • Proficiency with issue/traceability platforms (Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Mantis);
  • Agile methodologies - Scrum, Kanban;
  • Experience preparing status reports.
