About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Source, originate, and assess infrastructure debt investment opportunities aligned with the Fund's strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, borrowers, investment banks, corporates, and advisers across the market.
  • Identify emerging investment themes, sectors, and opportunities that complement the existing portfolio.
  • Lead due diligence, underwriting, and credit assessment of prospective investments.
  • Drive transaction execution from initial review through to investment committee approval and closing.
  • Oversee financial analysis, modelling, and investment recommendations.
  • Determine internal credit ratings and prepare investment papers for relevant governance forums.
  • Negotiate and execute term sheets and legal documentation.
  • Provide ongoing oversight and monitoring of portfolio loan investments.
  • Manage borrower relationships and lead asset management activities, including waivers, amendments, restructurings, and valuation processes where required.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and performance reporting.
  • Support manager selection, implementation, and oversight activities across private credit strategies.
  • Contribute to the exploration of new markets, sectors, and investment opportunities as the portfolio continues to grow.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience in credit investing, infrastructure lending, banking, or private credit.
  • Extensive infrastructure debt transaction execution experience across complex UK and European opportunities.
  • Strong expertise in credit analysis, underwriting, financial modelling, and investment assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading loan transaction execution and investment management activities.
  • Experience in loan portfolio management and asset management oversight.
  • Strong relationship management skills and an established network across infrastructure debt markets.
  • High-quality communication, presentation, and investment writing skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to mentoring and developing others.
  • Degree-qualified in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • CFA, MBA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification would be highly regarded.
