About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform core testing activities within the Testing team
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practice
- Perform routine screening tests within agreed timeframes and defined procedures
- Support the sufficient and safe provision of blood, plasma and biological products
- Escalate anomalies to ensure regulatory requirements are met
- Maintain product safety
- Work varied shifts on a rotating roster, including early morning and evening shifts, Mondays, Saturdays and other required days
- Complete a training pathway lasting approximately 6 to 8 months before becoming fully trained across all role activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience performing routine and repetitive tasks in a laboratory
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Strong team-player capability and ability to work toward shared goals
- Scientific laboratory experience advantageous but not essential
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend and twist to operate different platforms
- Availability to work varied shifts on a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays
- Availability for early morning shifts starting at 5:00 AM and evening shifts ending at 2:00 AM
- Availability to complete Monday-to-Friday or Monday-to-Thursday training
