About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
- Create a donor experience they’ll love and want to come back
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
- Set up machines and collections equipment
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
- Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent customer-facing skills
- Genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors
- Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
- Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
- Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
- Be able to work in locations from and between Mt Ormeau to Murwillumbah to support our Donor Mobile Unit
