About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility
  • Create a positive donor experience
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
  • Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • Genuine passion to deliver exceptional service to donors
  • Comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
  • Ability to lift between 9-22.7kgs
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster
  • No previous blood collection experience is required
