About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility
Create a positive donor experience
Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
Set up machines and collections equipment
Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent customer-facing skills
Genuine passion to deliver exceptional service to donors
Comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
Ability to lift between 9-22.7kgs
Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster
No previous blood collection experience is required
