About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess and manage acutely poisoned patients in the Austin Emergency Department.
  • Manage patients in the ward and ICU environments who have been admitted under the care of the Clinical Toxicology Service.
  • Support the Victorian Poisons Centre by managing remote consultations and following up ongoing cases.
  • Participate in clinical case reviews, journal club, research activities and guideline writing.
  • Contribute to quarterly state case review and M+M meetings.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum two-year post-graduate medical experience.
