About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Tutors students according to set priorities and academic goals.
- Provides assistance to students on a one-on-one or group basis in the subject discipline, college study skills, and Learning Lab resources.
- Organizes supplemental learning materials.
- Provides feedback on student progress.
- May lead study groups in the subject matter.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate tutoring techniques, standards, and supplemental learning materials for individual and group tutoring.
- Must have completed courses CETT-1403, CETT-1405, and CETT-1425 with a grade of B or higher.
- Successful completion of CETT-1429 is a plus.
- Demonstrate patience & willingness to help fellow students.
- Have a recommendation from a current or former ACC professor.
- Have a flexible schedule.
