About the role
- Prepare and teach courses in the field of Fashion Design and Merchandising to a multicultural student population
- Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes and departmental expectations
- Provide teaching and mentoring services to students
- Remain current in the field through a variety of professional development activities
- Participate and engage with the annual graduating fashion showcase
Requirements
- Associate degree in Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising
- Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising, Design, Home Economics with appropriate concentration or Marketing
- Associate degree in one of these and 3 years non-teaching work experience
- 3 years of non-teaching industry experience in Fashion Merchandising, retail management or brand strategy
- Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, online resources, Adobe Creative suites and other technologies for the classroom
- Demonstrated proficiency using an online learning management system such as Blackboard to develop and build course content and perform administrative duties
