About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support mission-critical U.S. Navy communications and navigation programs involving the design, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment of complex defense systems
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for research, engineering development and field operations of command, control, communications and navigation systems
- Analyze customer, operational and technical requirements and translate them into system-level requirements and specifications
- Participate in systems architecture development, interface definition, requirements allocation and trade studies
- Support the integration of hardware, software, network, cybersecurity and platform systems within complex operational environments
- Evaluate system performance, identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must possess a Secret level security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university and 5+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex technical programs
- Ability to analyze requirements and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to develop, read, interpret and apply technical documentation
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
