About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in the delivery of civil engineering designs for building and infrastructure projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and access design
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications under the guidance of senior team members
Contribute to the coordination of civil design outputs with structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines
Support project teams in identifying and resolving design challenges
Apply relevant standards, guidelines and engineering principles to produce quality outcomes
Participate in project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders across the business
Contribute to achieving project delivery, quality and safety objectives
Continue to develop technical skills through mentoring, training and on-the-job learning opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years' experience in civil engineering, ideally within a consulting environment
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)
Exposure to civil design for buildings, land development, precincts or infrastructure projects
Experience using civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD or similar will be highly advantageous
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
Defence or defence-adjacent project experience is advantageous but not essential
