About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in the delivery of civil engineering designs for building and infrastructure projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and access design
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications under the guidance of senior team members
  • Contribute to the coordination of civil design outputs with structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines
  • Support project teams in identifying and resolving design challenges
  • Apply relevant standards, guidelines and engineering principles to produce quality outcomes
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders across the business
  • Contribute to achieving project delivery, quality and safety objectives
  • Continue to develop technical skills through mentoring, training and on-the-job learning opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years' experience in civil engineering, ideally within a consulting environment
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)
  • Exposure to civil design for buildings, land development, precincts or infrastructure projects
  • Experience using civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD or similar will be highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
  • Defence or defence-adjacent project experience is advantageous but not essential
